[UX] Execution 1.05 | Mapping User Flows

After creating our user personas, we went into building the user flow for our entire product. A user flow maps out how a user navigates through your product, and is helpful in aligning everyone on the eventual screens & interactions that need to be built.

From there, we broke up this complete user flow into smaller flows that capture specific features we’d like to prototype. The plan is to build, test, and piece together these features until our press launch. Press launch is when we put more efforts in spreading the word about Giveshop through different marketing channels.

The first feature we decided to prototype is our storytelling feature because it is the core of our product. The goal of this feature is to leverage the techniques of storytelling in films/novels/shows to better help our users learn about our causes and projects. These techniques will not only be imbedded in the flow of information in our platform, but also in how project stories are told.

This flow starts when the user enters the GiveShop landing page and ends when they contribute their time, skills, or money to a project. This is the minimum flow our team feels we need to test whether our target audience finds value in our product.

With our user flows ready, we move into transforming it into low-fidelity wireframes!
