After incorporating our lessons from our first design sprint, we jumped into our second three week design sprint.

For our sprint updates, we will share what we planned during our one hour sprint planning meeting, and what we accomplished & learned from our one hour sprint retrospective meeting.

Team: 3 Designers (part-time)

Selected Tasks:

  1. Collaborator Manage Projects (Lo-Fi to Hi-Fi) - As a registered or unregistered collaborator, I want to view projects that I have contributed to to manage my projects
  2. Collaborator Manage Tasks (Lo-Fi to Hi-Fi) - As a registered or unregistered collaborator, I want to find tasks that I have contributed to to manage my tasks.
  3. Collaborator Account Settings (Lo-Fi to Hi-Fi) - As a registered collaborator, I want to access collaborator account settings to update information
  4. Collaborator Account Info (Lo-Fi to Hi-Fi) - As a registered collaborator, I want to access collaborator account info to update information
  5. Collaborator Payment Info (Lo-Fo to Hi-Fi) - As a registered collaborator, I want to access my payment information to update information
  6. Collaborator Notification Settings (Lo-Fi to Hi-Fi) - As a registered collaborator, I want to access notification settings to update information
  7. Atomic Design System - Our developers proposed we build all re-usable components first before starting to build our pages. This helps to ensure our developers are using the same components, and duplicating efforts. To accomplish this, our designers prepared an atomic design system that includes all our re-usable components to reference.

If we have time

  • About Giveshop (Lo-Fi to Hi-Fi) - As a registered or unregistered user (all), I want to learn about the GiveShop Team, company history, mission statement to trust the platform

Key Learnings:

  1. To help ensure our developers and designers do not duplicate efforts, we created an atomic design system that includes all re-usable components used on our platform. Components are broken into Atoms, Molecules, Organisms, and Pages/Templates.

Improvements for Next Sprint:

  1. Communicate and respond to blockers ASAP.
  2. Leverage atomic design system to keep future designs consistent

With our second sprint complete, we move onto our third sprint!

We are a budding startup in Silicon Valley aiming to simplify the act of giving. Our goal is to mobilize more people to get involved with meaningful causes.
